Template update

Just made some updates to improve readability and overall structure, FYI. I’m a bit behind on reading, but I’ve got a bunch of books I’m excited to read, so I’ll be posting on those sometime soon. Woo!

Been doing a lot of

updating recently. And will be for the immediately foreseeable future. Be sure to check out Authors and Reading Room often.

Oy. New template. Again.

OK, I think I’ll be happy with this one for a while. It’s readable and reasonably attractive, IMHO.

We are experiencing technical difficulties…

please stand by. My template stopped working after upgrading to WP 2.1, and I’m using it as an excuse to redesign the template. Again. Because I decided I hated it. Again. Sigh. Anyway, please stand by.

Another template update

You’ll notice I modified the template a bit to make it more readable. The problem with designing blog templates on the cinema display or even my PBG4’s laptop screen is that they are super-bright, and the templates tend to look a lot darker on your average CRT (of which I now have none in my place, if you don’t count my TV); the post title text was nearly invisible on my CRT at work, so I decided to punch it up a bit. Hope this is a bit more user-friendly.

Welcome to my

books site! If this is your first time visiting, here is a brief sitemap:

  • About the site
  • How it works: a brief description of how the site is structured and how to get around.
  • Related thoughts: related posts on my blog.
  • Categories: I write on several different topics. Links to all of them can be found in the “Categories” section of the sidebar. Hint: mousing over the category will bring up a description in the tooltip.

I decided I hated the old layout,

so I designed a new one this morning. Cleaner and more pleasant to look at, I think. Let me know your thoughts.

I’ve added a

“How it works” link to the About section of the sidebar; it describes how this site—and all my personal websites—are structured. Check it out!

I’ve finally got

something up on the criteria page. I’d been composing a post about the importance of dialogue for a couple of months now, and I finally finished tonight.

Here’s the new layout

of the books site. How do you like it? Content to come soon…
